Smart Ring Platform for Wellness Programmes

A titanium-alloy ring built around three sensor types — PPG optical sensing, a 3-axis accelerometer and an independent body-temperature module — over Bluetooth 5.1. Engineered for health and wellness brands, distributors and digital-health product teams that need a discreet, screen-free wearable platform.

The CARE2 Ring Platform

One documented titanium ring platform, supplied as a development and manufacturing programme rather than a retail catalogue line.

A screen-free wearable for continuous daily wear

The CARE2 is a titanium-alloy ring light enough for all-day and overnight wear in a way a wrist device is often not. It weighs 2.9–4.0 g depending on size. It carries PPG optical sensing, a 3-axis accelerometer and an independent body-temperature sensing module, and it communicates over Bluetooth 5.1 with a magnetic Type-C charging dock.

For a brand or programme, the important part is what the platform can honestly support. The sensor set records pulse-related and activity trends and a relative finger skin-temperature trend. It does not contain an ECG electrode path, a pressure-measurement path or a glucose-sensing path, so programmes that promise those capabilities must be built on a different device family.

How the Ring Collects Health Data

Three sensor types, one signal chain. Understanding what each element can and cannot report is the foundation of an honest product promise.

01

PPG optical sensor

An optical channel tracks pulse-related trends from light returned through the tissue. It is the basis for resting-pulse and pulse-variability trend reporting in the companion app.

02

3-axis accelerometer

Registers motion in three axes. Beyond activity and movement records, it acts as the motion reference that lets firmware judge whether an optical sample is usable instead of motion-contaminated.

03

Independent temperature module

A separate sensing element reads contact skin temperature at the finger. It is meaningful as a relative trend against a personal baseline, not as a core-body temperature measurement.

Which Programme Fits This Platform

Three buyer contexts where a titanium ring platform with a PPG, motion and temperature sensor set is the right answer — and where it is not.

01

Private-Label Wellness Brands

Pain Point: A wellness brand needs a discreet screen-free ring form factor, but cannot fund new tooling or a firmware programme from zero.

Why It Fits: A titanium-alloy shell in three finishes supports a premium brand position without depending on a display-driven industrial design.

Recommendation

Start with a physical sizing kit and a sample ring, then confirm finish and engraving scope.

02

Distributors & Regional Importers

Pain Point: A distributor wants one credible ring line without carrying a product whose limits nobody can state to retail partners.

Why It Fits: A single documented platform keeps the catalogue simple, and the sizing and water-use boundaries can be stated honestly up front, reducing after-sales disputes.

Recommendation

Confirm the orderable size range and the daily-use water statement in writing before listing.

03

Digital-Health Product Teams

Pain Point: The team’s data promise is broader than a ring’s sensor set can honestly support.

Why It Fits: The ring’s PPG, accelerometer and temperature chain maps to wellness trends only; programmes requiring ECG, blood pressure or glucose need a different device family.

Recommendation

Validate the data promise against the sensor architecture before committing to a ring-only programme.

OEM & ODM Scope for Ring Programmes

What can be adapted on the ring platform, and which commercial and technical terms remain open.

Surface Finish & Engraving

Bespoke finish and laser engraving on the ring body for a private-label identity.

Dock & Accessory Branding

Charging-dock and accessory branding, so the unboxing experience carries the brand rather than a generic accessory.

Data-Path Integration

A Bluetooth 5.1 link with Android and iOS labelled compatibility. Integration responsibility and SDK/API documentation remain to be confirmed.

Sizing-Kit Logistics

Turnkey sizing-kit arrangement so end-user finger measurements are captured before bulk production rather than after.

Visit the FAQ page
What sensors does the smart ring platform actually include?

The CARE2 smart ring includes three sensor types: a PPG optical sensor, a 3-axis accelerometer and an independent body-temperature sensing module, operating over a Bluetooth 5.1 link. There is no ECG electrode path, no blood-pressure measurement path and no glucose-sensing path in this ring, and none is implied by the sensor set.

Can the ring be worn while swimming, in a hot spring or in the shower?

No. Water resistance is daily use only — it withstands hand washing, sweating and brief rain. Hot springs, swimming and prolonged underwater submersion are explicitly excluded. Waterproofing imagery that suggests otherwise is an unresolved source conflict and is not published here as a rating.

Does the ring measure blood pressure, ECG or blood glucose?

No. The documented sensor set is PPG optical sensing, a 3-axis accelerometer and a temperature module. There is no ECG, blood-pressure or glucose measurement capability on this device, and no diagnostic, medical-grade or clinical-grade claim is made. Programmes that require those capabilities must select a different device family.

What OEM/ODM customisation is available for a private-label ring programme?

Surface finishing and engraving, charging-dock and accessory branding, the data-path integration discussion, and turnkey sizing-kit logistics. MOQ, lead time, tooling terms, SDK/API documentation and app publishing ownership are still to be confirmed with the client and are not promised on this page.

How should users choose a comfortable ring fit?

Use a physical sizing kit before ordering the CARE2. Try the intended finger during normal daily activities and overnight; the ring should maintain sensor contact without pinching or feeling loose as finger size changes.
